First Asian American Muppet debuts on Sesame Street

Meet JiYoung, a rock guitar playing Korean American girl, the newest member of the Sesame Street Muppet cast. The New York Times introduces JiYoung in this the video below. Not only is JiYoung the first Asian American Muppet, she's brought to life by Korean American muppeteer Kathleen Kim.
